Students on Holidays
Your AHN Supervisor is to be informed of students applying to go away with friends for the weekend or for semester break times.
If under 18, the details of the leave request must include the address of where the student will be staying and contact details of the person being appointed as their guardian for that period. The appointed guardian must provide photographic identification.
The student's guardian and AHN Supervisor can refuse leave to any student under the age of 18 years if age if the proposed arrangement is not deemed suitable for student safety.
Reduced Holiday Rates for Homestay
If students plan holidays in advance a special rate can be arranged over the holiday period, usually half the normal homestay payment.
In order to qualify for the holiday rate students must be leaving the homestay for at least one week and must give at least two weeks notice to their homestay supervisor.
If the student has already paid for the period in which they will be on holidays, the price of their next invoice can be reduced to compensate.
