Homestay Placement
The Australian Homestay Company provides students with the following:
- Your own bedroom
- Up to 3 meals a day (depending upon the specified level of service)
- A wardrobe/lamp/bed/fan/desk/heater (where appropriate)
- Access to the washing machine
- Breakfast – toast, cereal, milk, juice, tea, coffee
- Lunch - sandwiches, fruit
- Dinner – meat and vegetables
- A safe environment
All students living in homestay are expected to abide by the homestay rules. More details on these are found within this site.
Some important points we ask our students to remember are:
- Most Australians go to bed at around 10.30pm and students need to mindful of this
- 1 hour is considered the average travel time for all Sydney commuters, particularly during peak times
- In Australia, males and females are treated equally
- Everyone in the homestay shares household duties
- All our hosts are fully trained and all homes have been inspected
