Student Arrivals
Students studying in Sydney will arrive at the Sydney Domestic or International Airport.
AHN can arrange for the student to be met at the airport on arrival and transported to their homestay family. This can be a great relief for students when first arriving in a new country with luggage and no knowledge of the public transport system and how to travel.
If students do not request for AHN to arrange transport to their homestay upon arrival, they are required to confirm their travel and arrival plans with their AHN supervisor prior to arriving so that we can ensure someone is at home to meet the student. AHN also requests that the student calls their homestay approximately 60 minutes prior to arriving at the home.
If the student has requested for AHN to arrange transport for them, students will be issued with a Arrival Confirmation Report.
Students are asked to follow the below instructions:
Arrival at the Airport:
Once customs has been cleared and your baggage checked, please exit through sliding doors into the Arrival Hall and make your way to the 'Meeting Point' next to the car rental desks.
Look for a person holding a sign displaying your name.
If you have trouble finding your driver please phone 1300 MYSTAY or the courier directly, these numbers will be included on your Arrival Confirmation Report. You should approach the information desk if you have any trouble using your mobile phone or the pay phones located in the airport.
Do not take any other transport from the airport if you have arranged for the Airport Pick-Up Service.
Please note:
· Parents, relatives or others accompanying the student will need to arrange their own transport if they have not booked the Airport Pick-Up Service prior to arrival.
· Students are to notify of any flight delays or cancellations 24 hours in advance otherwise the student will be charged the cost of the Pick-Up Service.
