All students who are Under the age of 18 and live in approved Homestay have an appointed guardian in Australia. For students studying at IES the guardian is the IES Director. Students studying at other Education providers will have a nominated guardian either at their school, a relative in Australia, or through a guardianship organisation.
Parents of Under 18 students need to complete the Guardianship form before a student’s visa will be issued by the Department of Immigration.
Welfare arrangements for Under 18 students are for the duration of the student’s confirmation of enrolment (COE).
