Homestay Host Certification

Becoming a registered and approved host with Australian Homestay Network involves three steps:

1. Host Application Form

There are three pages to the application form. Once completed, submit it. An activation email will be sent to you. Click the activation link to verify your email address and activate your host applicant account.

2. Site Visit at Your Home

An onsite interview will be scheduled where an AHN staff member will visit your home to meet you and inspect the prospective student room/s and home environment. This visit will provide you with the opportunity to meet with one of our friendly staff members, generally your host manager. You can discuss further your expectations, learn about the placement process and the staff members involved.

3. Background Check

A background check is necessary to ensure the safety and security of international students.

N.B. In some areas you may be required to complete your background check/s prior to scheduling your home visit.

Upon successful completion of all the above steps you will become a registered and approved Australian Homestay Network host. Student matching will take place and you will be given the opportunity to host a student as soon as a student matching your criteria becomes available.
